I’ll keep ‘you’ alive…
May 21, 2010
It’s been so long since I looked at this Microsoft Word’s file (my temporary text storage before I posted an entry on WordPress) and wondering if I should merged this WordPress into my own domain’s WordPress at mistawes.com. Many events occurred during my many months of absentees on this blog.
First, I’ve been called to attend VB.NET course for three months under Multimedia Development Corporation (MDEC) for Information Technology Outsourcing in Malaysia. By that time, my head was filled with acronyms or semantics of Microsoft-esque owned programming language, the .NET languages. It was tough since I learnt the exclusive language for Microsoft platform rather than an open source. I learnt new things, or most probably a piece on my quest on shopping cart. I know, I know… it was outdated. But, what I’m trying to seek was the core structure on setting up the cart from scratch, and merged it with media elements, plus a business plan to simplify the flow of the current shopping cart. In Malaysia, a lot of demographic surveys need to be constructed in order to have a system that matched perfectly with the whole social systems. Credit card usage? Or maybe I should diversify it with internal banking system, the most common transaction? You figure it out.
After I successfully ended my training course, one software house approached me and wanted me to handle Crystal Report and new adapted language, LINQ database. They want me to merge those two into one. The LINQ was done by making it a reverse; it was not based on the common flow on logical programming language. The language will need to be started with choosing the database, followed by WHERE statement and closing it with SELECT statement.
After that, I quit my job in a week since the software house was not what I had expected to be. I thought the software house followed those relevant logical flows on documentation, instead by cloning it and making it a messy structure by the Project Manager. And of course, I don’t want to work on Sunday!
After I quit, I tend to focus on my creative side of my brain by making a lot of graphic, CSS structure layout, playing with JQuery and making themes for my own WordPress. Ha! What a happy feelings.
After I bought my own domain and setup the WordPress, I’ve been thinking about this one (mistawes.wordpress.com)… and today, I’m going to make a post on this ‘entry’.
