Listen and Get Addicted to Buono!

Rottara Rottara is actually "Lotta Love, Lotta Love"...oic!
I’ve been listening to Japanese music around 3 years ago (but not all genres), and I’m quite addicted on how their music styles looks like. Maybe I’m Asian, so the probability to get acquainted to the music is much higher than the western counterpart (or, maybe not). As I’m also listening to other music such as The Cardigans, Black Light Burns, Slipknot, Sixpence None the Richer and Dido, there is no term where I disapproved the involvement of western music in my life. Nowadays, the western music is furthering ‘itself’ with the Hip Hop scene and emo-style music. It’s not that I’m against it at all. Maybe it is due to the music which is able to capture my mind when I first listened to, the sense of beautiful music is not there. Hmmm… I guess the much anticipated artiste I managed to cope is The Cardigans. Slipknot? Their music seems to be… lost in touch with the raunchiness, not like when they first appeared in public scene many years ago (sorry, James Root).
By the way, as I’m changing channel to more experimental-kind-of music by combining and mixing it together with other genres such as Shiina Ringo, Tokyo Jihen and the Pipettes, I found Buono!; the bubble-gum Jpop Idol group which combines fresh music with the dance. The member consists of Momoko Tsugunaga and Natsuyaki Miyabi (both from Berryz Kobo), and Airi Suzuki (C-ute’s member). Although I’ve been practically skeptical of the coming genre they brought when they first appeared (because of the common Idol-esque genre into Jpop), but they did create some Jpop and Jrock mix within their first album, Café Buono. Maybe I’m a bit overrated on their music style because I find it… interesting.
Their 5th single, “Rottara Rottara” is the single I listened most of all the time. In my iPod repeat track, it charted on #1 with 28 times played. :p The jingle made for Rottara Rottara is absolutely everlasting; the chorus keeps dangling in my mind. The B-side track, “My Love” is also brilliant which reminds me of some ska bands; No Doubt and Tipe-X.
Their 6th single, “Co.no.michi.”, will be coming out on 21st January 2009 while their 2nd album will only release by next month, 11th February 2009. Their A-side track on the latest single is already been played on major radio station and their PV can be found on Youtube. The official release will be held by next month. Aahhhhh… I just can’t stand the hype surrounding the net!!! More latest updates please!! :p

Yes, “Rottara” was sensational. Buono! is getting better and better.
